The Avalanches actually wore the 25th Anniversary patch in the 20/21 season. However, he was the only Avs player to wear a jersey without the 25th patch in 20-21, which makes it kind of unique. MacKinnon wore this jersey on Feb. 26th in the first period against the Coyotes, then switched to the regular set 1 with the 25th patch. This particular jersey was used one more time, for the entire game against the Sharks on May 3rd 2021.
